introductions

Welcome to Libertarian Monks.

Call me David Beilstein. These columns, essays, and blog entries concern manners, movies, culture & politics. Whatever insight I might have results from the example of my loving parents who taught me by example to dig deeply — and widely — and to think. Praise is more beautiful than scorn; so I will try to do more of the former.

I’m just a Washingtonian Old School Presbyterian Trading Twelves.

I was born March 4, 1976 in Washington, D.C., and adopted by saintly parents at three months old. Raised in New England with my brother, I’m a film student now. I’m living in sunny Orlando, Florida. As Albert Murray and Ralph Ellison might utter, I’m just a ‘Mose’ with a dream!
